About Aged Care & Community Services

The aged care qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery, and the community services qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities.

Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as an aged care worker, aged care activity worker or as a volunteer coordinator in settings supporting older people. It will also give you the knowledge required to pursue further study.
